Young West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph was on top of his game on debut as he created history in the Indian Premier League over the past weekend.
Joseph bowled at pace to record the best figures in the competition by gobbling up 6 wickets for 12 runs from 3.4 overs to bundle out Sunrisers Hyderabad for 96 in their chase of 137 runs.
His team the Mumbai Indians won by a comfortable 40 runs.
Earlier, Kieron Pollard made 46 from 24 balls to pilot Mumbai to 136-7 from their 20 overs.
The win pushed Mumbai into fourth place in the league with 6 points.
On the other hand, Chris Gayle and the King’s XI Punjab suffered their second loss of the IPL season as they went down to the defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 22 runs earlier today.
Choosing to bat first, the Super Kings posted 160-3 from their 20 overs with Faf du Plessis top scoring with 54.
In reply, King’s X1 were restricted to 138-5. Sarfaraz Khan top scored with 67 while Gayle made just 5. Despite the loss, the King’s X1 Punjab remain fourth in the table.
