Windies U19s Lose ODI Series Against Sri Lankan Counterparts

Windies under 19s played second fiddle against their Sri Lankans counterparts in their third ODI encounter, losing the series 2-1 in Dambulla.

The team lost their last game by 51 runs.

The Sri Lankan electing to bat posted 304-8 from their quota of overs. The innings was built on 155 by opener Pulindu Perera.

Nathan Edward was the pick of the Caribbean bowlers with 3-66. Jamaican Deshawn James took 2-70.

The West Indies Under 19s in their chase faltered at 253 all out in 40.3 overs. 

Jewel Andrew top scored with 80, while opener Weir made 52. Another Jamaican, Jordan Johnson made only 14. 
 
The teams will now turn their attention to the first of two youth tests bowling off on Tuesday also in Dambulla.
