Windies Batting Star Shimron Hetmyer Passes Fitness Test

According to press reports, West Indies star batsman Shimron Hetmyer has passed his fitness test and is now available for West Indies selection.

The report noted that Hetmyer and other players did the fitness test at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Tuesday morning, where he surpassed the required 40-mark on the Yo-Yo test.

Hetmyer expressed his satisfaction and delight in passing the test on social media.

He had earlier traveled with the One-Day International squad from Guyana to Trinidad.

The dashing left-hander will likely be included in the West Indies T20 International squad for the five matches against India, which start on July 29 in Trinidad and Tobago.

The 25-year-old last represented West Indies in November 2021 in their failed World T20 campaign.
