The World Health Organization (WHO) has sent a team off to China to investigate the origins of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) that has resulted in the plague affecting most countries worldwide.
WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris made the revelation based on press reports.
The virus is believed to have emerged in a wholesale market in Wuhan’s central Chinese city last year.
The two WHO experts, specialists in animal health and epidemiology, will work with Chinese scientists to set the investigation’s scope and itinerary.
