West Indies To Play Day/Night Test In The Middle East

According to a press report, Pakistan and the West Indies will play a day and night Test in Dubai from October 13-17, making it the second ever five-day international match to be held under lights.

The game will be played under floodlights in Dubai starting on October 13.

cricket ball & batThe match will mark the beginning of a 3-game series, with the other matches set for Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to be regular day time encounters.

The teams will play three Twenty20 as well as three One Day Internationals games before the test series.

West Indies is also scheduled to play a warm-up match against an ECB X1 in preparation for the matches.

The ICC approved day-night tests in a bid to boost attendances and TV ratings.

Test cricket’s only day and night Test was organized last year in Australia where the hosts played against New Zealand.
