West Indies And Bangladesh In Tour Talks

According to a press report, the West Indies could be heading to Bangladesh immediately after their home series against India.

cricket BallThe report noted that Nazmul Hassan President of Bangladesh Cricket Board has revealed that talks are in progress with the WICB for the hosting of the Caribbean side in September.

Hassan, however, did not specify the format of the proposed contest.

Bangladesh has been out of international cricket action since their loss to New Zealand at the World T20 in India in March.

Consequently, if the tour is realized it would be a welcome move for the BCB as their country seeks to establish itself as one of the power house in cricket.

Bangladesh had tentative plans in place to play a one off test in India in August or September, however, with New Zealand set to tour India September-October that plan has been shelved.

Bangladesh next big assignment will be the hosting of England in October; however, they could witness international cricket action before then, if the West Indies series gets the nod.
