U.S. Travel Advisory Hits Jamaica

The United States embassy in Jamaica has issued a travel advisory, warning Americans not to travel to several parts of the country given the increase in criminal activities.

The advisory, which was issued recently, cautioned Americans from traveling to several communities in Kingston & St. Andrew; Clarendon and St. James, which are prone to violence.

The advisory warned U.S. citizens to stay away from the parish of Clarendon, and when driving through the parish should only use the highways.
