MoneyGram Sued Over Timeliness Of Money Transfers To Caribbean Recipients

NEW YORK, United States (CMC) — New York Attorney General Letitia James says she has collaborated with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in filing a lawsuit against one of the largest international money transfer providers in the United States, MoneyGram International, Inc and MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc (MoneyGram) for allegedly repeatedly failing to transmit money to Caribbean and other recipients in a timely manner.

“MoneyGram failed to deliver funds to recipients in a timely manner or refund consumers when transfers were delayed,” she said.

Asian Views Of U.S. Rise Sharply as China Slips

Approval of U.S. leadership in the world surged across Asia in 2021, with the biggest gains registered in Laos, South Korea, and Vietnam, according to a Gallup survey released Friday.

The median approval rate across 33 countries polled in the survey stood at 41% last year, up 10 percentage points over the previous year, Gallup reported. Approval of Chinese leadership slipped by one point to 27% during the same period.
