China To Provide Additional 10 million COVID-19 Vaccine Doses To Kenya

Visiting Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday announced that China will provide another 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Kenya, saying China will continue to stand firmly with its brothers and sisters in Africa to defeat the pandemic.

Wang made the remarks during a joint press conference with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Raychelle Omamo in Kenya’s port city Mombasa. Kenya is the second stop of Wang’s three-nation tour in Africa.

Chief Currie Defies Police Orders, Says Maroon Festival Will Go On As Planned

KINGSTON, Jamaica —Just hours after police warned the public not to attend the Maroon Festival in St Elizabeth on Thursday as it would be in breach of the Disaster Risk Management Act, Colonel Richard Currie has announced that the event will go on as planned.

The announcement was made on his Instagram account this morning where he invited maroons to continue their spiritual and traditional ceremonies as their ancestors did.
