Those Pesky Pollen Allergies!

pollenEarly Spring is that time of the year when some people must gear up to do battle against those pesky little allergens found in pollens that produce allergies.

Today, over 50,000,000 people in America suffer from allergies, according to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI).

People experience allergies especially at this time when grass, weeds, and trees are at their peak in pollen production.

Allergies have a debilitating effect on the daily lifestyle and routine of people. Its symptoms often include:

Itchy throat, nose, and ears

Frequent sneezes and sniffles

Runny or stuffy nose

Itchy and watery eyes


Sore throat


Recent research has shown that people might develop allergies as a defense to fight parasites. In addition, a new report called “Extreme Allergies And Global Warming” has indicated that allergy triggers have become worse because of climate change and global warming.

Now, given this grim forecast, people with capital and vested interest will no doubt be seeking ways to determine how best to position themselves to exploit future opportunities in this area.

In the meantime, people who suffer from allergies will continue to try and explore different means of treatment. Therefore, they are either likely to resort to modern medical carecalled allopathy or homeopathic medicine.

As a result, treatment may include the following:

Antihistamine – for example, Benadryl, Claratin, Loratidine etc.

Nasal decongestants – for example, Pseudoephedrine, Azelastine

Allergy shots

Using Home remedies – for example, saline solution to irrigate nose, warm shower after outdoor activities, European herb, butterbur, and herbal tonics and supplement among others are medications of choice.
