Thompson-Herah, Thomas-Dodd Push Jamaica’s Medal Tally At Commonwealth Games

Elaine Thompson-Herah and Danniel Thomas-Dodd pushed Jamaica’s medal tally to three at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, picking up gold and silver, respectively.

Thompson-Herah won the women’s 100m in 10.95 seconds ahead of St. Lucian Julien Alfred with 11.01 and Briton Daryl Neita at 11.07.

The other Jamaican in the race, Natalliah Whyte, finished eighth in 11.32 seconds.

Meanwhile, Thomas-Dodd, with a throw of 18.98m, finished second behind Sarah Mitton of Canada.

Jamaica’s Llyodrica Cameron was fourth with a throw of 17.62m.
