Thompson-Herah In A Spot Of Bother

Five-time Olympic gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah found herself in a spot of bother on Sunday.

The Jamaican superstar had to be lifted off the track at the New York Grand Prix at Icahn Stadium in Manhattan.

It is reported that Thompson-Herah injured her Achilles while running the 100m track event.

The back-to-back Olympic Games sprint double champion finished last in 11.48 (-2.1), but immediately removed her shoe and was limping.

This was Thompson-Herah’s first outing since the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, two weeks ago where she finished last in 11:30 seconds.
