According to a White House press statement, both President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany have committed to holding Russia accountable for its brutal actions in Ukraine.

Both men reviewed their ongoing efforts to provide security assistance to the government of Ukraine and humanitarian aid to the millions of Ukrainians affected by the violence.

President Biden welcomed Germany’s provision of security assistance and its recent pledge of additional humanitarian aid.

The statement also noted they both would continue their partnership throughout the war-torn crisis.
