The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) Puts Brake On Backing Cameron For Third Term As President

According to a press report, the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) will hold off on its decision on whether or not to support Dave Cameron for the third term as president of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

The report noted that the topic came up for discussion at the JCA monthly board meeting held at Sabina Park earlier this week.

It further stated that the JCA is likely to request a meeting with Cameron before making a final decision on the matter.

The same course of action was followed by the JCA in Cameron’s 2015 bid for President.

The JCA had initially opted not to support Cameron before mounting pressure forced members to yield their position and back the Jamaican.

It is also reported that the JCA will be adding three persons to their list of directors, one of which is a prominent figure at the University of The West Indies, while another is well known in political circles.
