The Bahamas Prime Minister Calls For Doubling Of Effort In Tourism

The Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis has called for the doubling of effort in the tourism sector.

He also said the country’s economy will be diversified to facilitate and integrate the tourism industry.

Mr. Davis was speaking on Thursday at the official reopening of the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island, which has undergone a $55 million renovation.

Bahamians will comprise the full complement of 900 employees to return to work.

Sandals Resort International Executive Chairman Adam Stewart says the resort chain has additional investments slated across the Caribbean this year, including The Bahamas.
