Tech giants have seen a massive increase in profits following consumers’ appetite for new digits, cloud services, and games.
Apple’s profits nearly doubled to US$21.7 billion in the three months to June 30 as customers bought pricier 5G iPhones.
Microsoft saw a $16.5 billion profit – up 47% year-on-year, due to demand for cloud services and games.
Google’s parent company, Alphabet, also reported record-high quarterly sales and profits.
