Tallawahs Loses Walton To Guyana Amazon Warriors In CPL

Jamaica Tallawahs in their bid for some of the premium cricketers in the Caribbean and other cricket playing nations have selected West Indies T-20 World Cup player Lendl Simmons of Trinidad and Tobago among five other international stars to do battle in the Caribbean Premier League competition (CPL).

Simmons previously played for the Guyana Jaguars but has now been brought into the Tallawahs side along with Pakistan pacer Mohammed Sami.

Young West Indies Under-19 World Cup winner Gidron Pope has also been added along with left-arm pacer Krishmar Santokie to the squad.

The defending champion Tallawahs have also retained Kumar Sangkarra, leading Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, Rovman Powell, Kesrick Williams, and Pakistan’s Imad Wasim.

However, Tallawahs have lost their inform wicket-keeper-batsman Chadwick Walton to the Guyana Amazon Warriors while Jerome Taylor has been retained by the St Lucia Stars.
