Three-time world 100-meter champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was in a no-nonsense mood as she propelled like a rocket out of the blocks to capture the women’s 100 meters in a meet record at the Grenada Invitational at the Kirani James Stadium recently.
It was Frazer-Pryce’s first competitive 100-meter race of the season and the occasion not lost on her as she clocked a meet record time of 11.20 seconds to win ahead of her compatriot Joneille Smith who equaled the previous meet record of 11.35 for second place.
Gayon Evans, also a Jamaican, was placed 4th in 11.46.
