According to MBJ Airports Limited, the long-awaited runway extension at Sangster International Airport in Montego St. James will be over soon.
The project is set to get started this year and is projected to cost US$70 million.
MBJ Marketing Manager Sharon Hislop Holt revealed that the procurement phase for a contractor has been completed, and the preferred contractor will be announced within a few weeks.
The work is slated to be completed by the end of 2022.
