Sandals Wanted By Trinidad And Tobago Government

TobagoThe Trinidad and Tobago government has established a committee headed by former finance minister Wendell Mottley to negotiate with Sandals Resort International to build two hotels in Tobago.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley told reporters that he is certain that the twin island republic’s tourism product would benefit significantly from the investment to be made by Sandals.

Rowley said Cabinet had received presentations after site selection exercises were done.

He disclosed that a site was identified in Tobago and Sandals has expressed its interest.

Certain architectural presentations were made to the government regarding the two proposed hotels which will have 750 rooms.
