Republican Establishment: Anybody But Trump

Heaven has no rage like love to hatred, nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.

Will The Republicans Blink In The Raising Of The Minimum WageRepublican leaders are hell bent on stopping front-runner Presidential candidate Donald Trump from representing the Republican Party at the upcoming general election.

However, Trump is not unaware of the attempt by the establishment to pull the rug from under his feet.

“I think we’ll win before getting to the convention, but I can tell you, if we didn’t and if we’re 20 votes short or if we’re 100 short and we’re at 1,100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400, because we’re way ahead of everybody, I don’t think you can say that we don’t get it automatically,” Trump said.

“I think it would be — I think you’d have riots. I think you’d have riots. I’m representing a tremendous, many, many millions of people,” he added.

“If you disenfranchise those people and you say, well I’m sorry but you’re 100 votes short, even though the next one is 500 votes short, I think you would have problems like you’ve never seen before. I think bad things would happen, I really do. I believe that. I wouldn’t lead it but I think bad things would happen,” Trump continued.

The battle cry by the Republican establishment is anybody but Trump.

In the meanwhile, however, Trump continues to add more and more delegates to his tally.

Republican Party leaders’ angst against Trump is not only about his outrageous and unsavory utterances on the campaign trail but also fear that the Party will lose the general election as well as Senate and House contests later in the year.

So far, the Republican leaders have spent millions of dollars of negative ads against Trump and he has had to endure criticisms from high-profile Republican leaders such as Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, and others.

In spite of this, however, Trump continues his winning ways and has nearly tripled his delegate lead over his nearest rival Ted Cruz.

This, however, has not stopped the establishment republicans as they continue to plot and strategize to deny Trump a pathway to nomination.
