Jaguars strike to be in sight of victory

Trailing by 294 runs on first innings, the hosts crashed to 58 for four at the close at Queen’s Park Oval and require another 236 runs to make Guyana bat again.

Campbell steadies Jamaica after scare

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Leeward Islands Hurricanes showed glimpses of what they are capable of but it was all a little too late, as Jamaica Franchise closed in on victory in their fourth round encounter of the WICB Professional Cricket League here Sunday.

At the close of the penultimate day at Sabina Park, Jamaica were 160 for four, requiring a mere 35 runs to win their third game of the new first class season.

However, the Leewards created some anxiety in the hosts’ camp, reducing them to 23 for three before opener John Campbell, who finished unbeaten on 63, helped revive the innings in two key partnerships.
