Opener Kraigg Brathwaite And Fast Bowler Kemar Roach Take Top Positions Among West Indians In ICC Rankings

Barbados and West Indies opening batsman Kraigg Clairmonte Brathwaite tops the ICC ranking among West Indians according to ICC player rankings released on Saturday.

Brathwaite took 20th position in the rankings with 677 rating points while the out of favor Trinidadian Darren Bravo is the next best in 30th.

Jamaicans Jermaine Blackwood and Marlon Samuels are ranked at 46th and 49th respectively.

Australian Steve Smith heads the ranking with the bat while Virat Kholi, Joe Root, Kane Williamson and David Warner feature among the top 5.

Despite playing his last Test against Zimbabwe in March 2013, sidelined fast bowler Kemar Roach continues to lead the way for the Windies bowlers, occupying the 28th spot, while Guyanese leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo follows closely by taking the 29th position.

Cricketer and Test player of the year India’s Ravichandran Ashwin leads the way with the ball followed by Ravindra Jadeja, Rangana Herath, Dale Steyn and Josh Hazlewood completing the top 5
