Jamaica Records 11 Deaths Attributed To COVID-19

Jamaica has recorded an additional eleven deaths from COVID-19 – pushing the death toll to 2,461  

In its latest update, the Ministry of Health reported that the deaths occurred during the period August 30 to December 20.

The ages ranged from 51 to 103.

Jamaica recorded 53 new COVID cases from 662 samples yesterday.

14 cases were imported.

93 covid-19 patients are hospitalized – of that number, 13 are severely ill.

China Sends Shiyan-12 Twin Testing Satellites Into Space

China launched a Long March-7A rocket to place two satellites in space on Thursday.

The rocket blasted off at 6:12 p.m. from Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China’s Hainan Province and soon sent Shiyan-12 01 and Shiyan-12 02 satellites into preset orbit.

The exact purpose of the satellite duo was not revealed by the space program.
