The Big Day!
“Sasha, my love, will you be my wife? Will you marry me?” he asked in front of the crowd of people.
She already knew her answer. There was no doubt in her mind that he was the man for her. She had been through a lot already, and it was time for her to get her life together. He had been such a positive force in her life, and she wanted to be her life partner.
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” she said as she bent over to kiss his face. There was no doubt about it she was the happiest girl in the world. A couple of days before she had been preoccupied, feeling down about Abe leaving, and here he was asking her to marry him.
She had been asked to be married before, so she was much calmer than before. She already knew the next step was to tell the rest of her family and friends and to start planning the wedding. Her little girl Chrissy loved Abe and was overjoyed when she found out her mommy was going to marry her prince charming. She was even more excited when she found out the role she would play in the wedding, the flower girl.
The next couple of weeks cruised by quickly. Each morning, she rolled over and saw her future beside her brought a certain warmth in her heart. She never knew she could love someone else as much as she loved him. The wedding planner was hired in less than month after her being proposed and so the wedding planning began.
The most important day of Sasha’s life was here. It was finally the day she was to become Mrs. Mckenzie. The room was quiet, so quiet you could hear a pin drop in the room. Sasha sat in silence as she watched the hands of the clock get close and closer to 9:00 a.m. It was 30 minutes before the ceremony began, and Sasha was looking as beautiful as ever. Her dress fit her perfectly, her makeup was flawless, and she was feeling great. Her bridal partly looked great and was equally excited for the big day.
“Ok I am nervous, in here is way too quiet,” she said trying to get rid of the some of the nerves.
“It’s time to go meet your groom,” her mother said as she stretched out her hand to meet her daughter’s. Finally, it ` time to walk down the aisle.
Everything was perfect. The chapel was decorated just the way she wanted it. All her friends, her family, his friends, his family… everything was just perfect. She always dreamed of this day when she was little and finally the day was here. There she was face to face with the man she was going to marry. He was handsome. The tuxedo fit him well. He had a smile on his face. This was it she thought to herself. The pastor proceeded and all she could do was smile.
