Jif Peanut Butter Recalled From The Market

A recall has been issued for some batches of Jif peanut butter sold in Jamaica following a product recall due to potential salmonella contamination.

A news release from the National Compliance and Regulatory Authority and the Consumer Affairs Commission says the product subject to recall bears the codes: 1274425 to 2140425.

This relates to Jif Creamy 340 gram with the serial number (2032425) and Jif Reduced Fat 454 gram bearing serial number (2029425).

The local distributor has reportedly given instructions to immediately remove the items from the shelves and return them to its distribution centers.
