Jamaica’s COVID-19 Death Toll Now 672

Three more persons have died from COVID-19, pushing Jamaica’s death toll to 672.

The Ministry of Health & Wellness said the deaths include two men – one 48 and the other 54 years old, and a 68-year-old female, all from the Corporate Area.

One of the three deceased was among the 381 positive cases recorded on Saturday.

The country’s overall case count has increased to 42,500, and the COVID-19 positivity rate jumped to 27.6 percent.

There was also a jump in hospitalization, with 31 patients admitted on Saturday, pushing the number in hospital to 456.

Among them, 49 are in critical condition.
