Six more COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed in Jamaica, bringing the country’s death toll since the start of the pandemic to 3,283.
The health authorities also confirmed 73 more cases of the disease on Friday.
These cases were detected in 528 samples, for an infection rate of 14.2 percent.
The Ministry of Health & Wellness has reported that there are currently 96 patients being treated at hospitals with the disease.
Two of the patients are severely ill, and two are in critical condition.
