Jamaicans Overseas Get To Vote For Festival Song

The Jamaican Diaspora, for the first time this year will get the chance to vote for their favorite 2020 Jamaica Festival Song.

This year there are 10 finalists vying for the crown and the lineup is an exciting and interesting one. It includes the following:

Buju Banton (I am a Jamaican)

Freddie McGregor (Tun up Di Sound)

Toots & The Maytals (Rise Up Jamaica)

Papa Michigan (Jamaica Dance)

L.U.S.T (Wave Di Flag)

Odonald “Radix OD” Haughton (The Place to be)

Oneil “Nazzle Man” Scott (Jamaica Nice)

Sakina Deer (We Are Jamaica)

Shuga (One People)

William “Xtra Bigg” Nembhard (Jamaica a Paradise).

Voting began on Sunday, July 12, and ends on Sunday, July 26.

The public will decide the winner of the competition by text-to-vote.
