National junior champion Tina Clayton defended her 100m title at the World Athletics Under 20 Championships on Wednesday night.
Clayton dashed to the line in a championship record of 10:95 seconds.
She was followed by her compatriot, Serena Cole, who copped the silver in a time of 11:14 seconds.
Third was Shawnti Jackson of the United States, who finished in 11:15 seconds.
Jamaica is currently third on the medal table at the championship, with one gold, three silver, and one bronze.
