Jamaica Sees Increase In COVID-19 Cases In Fifth Wave

COVID-19 cases continue to increase during this fifth wave in Jamaica, with 285 more infections confirmed on Friday from 2,808 samples.

That constituted an infection rate of 29.6 percent.

Hospitalizations declined by three to 138.

Ten of the patients are severely ill and three critical.

Two deaths, which occurred in April and May this year, have increased the death toll to 3,082.
