Given Jamaica Scorpions’ lukewarm batting performance to date in the Digicel regional 4-day competition, management has made two changes to the squad that will start against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Sabina Park on Friday.
Jamaica’s rising star all-rounder Rovman Powell who is back from West Indies one day duties has been included in the squad along with former captain Paul Palmer Jnr.
Both players will replace Guyanese-born left-handed, top-order batsman Trevon Griffith and wicket-keeper batsman Chadwick Walton respectively.
The Scorpions are fifth after three rounds on 28.6 points, 1.6 ahead of the Red Force.
The Jamaica Scorpions’ batsmen have failed to fire thus far although some have received good start.
