Jamaica Reports 584 New COVID-19 Cases

The Ministry of Health is reporting that 18 more people in Jamaica have died from COVID-19.

The death toll from the virus has increased to 2,635.

Eight of the deaths were recorded in Kingston, five in St. Catherine, and two in Portland, while St. Mary, St. Ann, and Manchester each had one.

The fatalities occurred in the period from January 17 to 25.

Two more deaths are being investigated by the Health Ministry.

Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate has increased to 46.3 percent after 584 cases were confirmed on Thursday from 1,868 samples.
