Jamaica — Drastic Decline In COVID-19 Hospitalizations

The Ministry of Health has reported 10 more COVID-19 related deaths in Jamaica.

The death toll is now 2,825.

Five of the deaths occurred in St. Catherine, four in St. Ann, and one in St. Mary.

At the same time, COVID-19 hospitalizations have declined to less than 100.

Ninety-seven patients remain in hospitals. Seven of them are severely ill and another seven are in critical condition.

Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate inched up to five percent on Thursday after 34 COVID-19 cases were confirmed from 1,827 samples.
