Jamaica: COVID-19 Case Count Moves To 11,608

Jamaica continues to reel from more COVID-19 infections.

The latest report shows that one person has died, bringing the death toll from the virus to 271.

The most recent death is that of a 45-year-old man from St Catherine.

There were also 99 new confirmed respiratory illness cases on Friday, increasing the country’s case count to 11,608. Their ages range from one to 92 years.

All parishes except Portland recorded new cases.

There are currently 3,383 actives cases, while 7,799 patients have recovered.

Jamaica’s first COVID-19 case was reported on March 10.
