Jamaica — 17-Year-Old Among Five Died From COVID-19

According to recent report, a 17-year-old girl from Trelawny is among five persons who died from COVID-19 in Jamaica.

The others are a 62-year-old man from Kingston and three Trelawny men aged 60, 75 and 78. 

The death toll is now 814.

Another death is being investigated by the Health Ministry.

Thirty-nine cases of COVID-19 were confirmed from 1,199 samples on Monday.

The overall case count is now 46,821.

The country’s COVID-19 positivity rate has declined to 3.3 per cent – the lowest rate since the second wave of the virus.

The number of active cases is 23,147.
