Jack Warner Set To Make Return To UNC

Despite rejecting the United National Congress and forming the Independent Liberal Party a decade ago, former Minister of National Security Jack Warner will again join Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar as he’s set to take center stage at a UNC meeting later today.

The announcement of Warner’s return to the UNC was confirmed by the party’s St Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen during a media conference at the Office of the Opposition Leader in Port-of-Spain on Sunday.

Mr. Warner is expected to open up about his reasons for reuniting with the UNC leader and explain exactly what he is hoping to achieve with the political reunion.

Last Friday, Warner’s return to the UNC was made public by UNC councilor Adrian Ali when he shared a photo of him (Warner) next to Ameen, who is the UNC’s deputy chairman.
