India’s Washington Ruled Out Of T20I Series Against Windies

India’s Washington Sundar has been ruled out of India’s three-match T20I series against West Indies which gets underway on February 16th.

According to icc-cricket.com, the all-rounder suffered a left hamstring muscle strain during fielding in the third ODI against West Indies on Friday, 11 February.

The report noted that Washington is the third player to be ruled out of the T20Is after KL Rahul, who sustained a hamstring strain during the second ODI, and Axar Patel, who is in the final stage of his rehabilitation after recovering from COVID-19 recently.

Sundar has been replaced by Kuldeep Yadav in the squad while Rahul and Axar make way for Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Hooda.

All three T20Is will be played at the Eden Gardens and will take place on 16, 18, and 20 February.
