Hillary Clinton — Political Witch Hunt?

First it was Benghazi scandal, now the e-mailgate; all in attempt by the Republican leaders to bring down former Secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

In fact, the way the story is being covered by the media it would seem that they are party to seeing the down fall of a woman who is poised to serve at highest level of government in the country.

The brouhaha all started after it was learned that the former secretary of state used a personal email account to conduct government business as secretary of state as well as the failure of her aides to take actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time as required by the Federal Records Act.

So far, neither the press nor Republicans are satisfied with the explanation proffered by Mrs. Clinton.

She has already turned over 55,000 pages of emails along with the server to assist the FBI with their investigation of impropriety.

However, even before the investigation is complete she is being charged in some quarters with violating the Federal Records Act.

The fact is Mrs. Clinton is not the first government official — or first secretary of state — to use a personal email account on which to conduct official business.

However, don’t tell that to the candidates in a general election campaign mode. They are all using the gotcha line and will do or say anything to stop Mrs. Clinton from opposing them in a head to head clash in next year November general election.

The bottom line is all the charges against Mrs. Clinton are mere politics and nothing but smoke screen being blown by Republicans and supported by some members of the press to fool the electorate to have their man in the White House.

The cool-aid is now being stirred to have Joe Bidden enter the race as part of an attempt to see if that could be a pathway to oust the former secretary.

The fact is as good as Joe Bidden is he would prove to be a much easier challenge for the Republicans and they know it, thus their foxlike chatter in behind the scene of “run Joe run.”

Now, where is Donald Trump when we need him to blow out fellow Republicans candidates that the Party would have foisted on us?
