Guyana has rachet up their export in coconuts selling more than $2.5 billion worth of coconut and coconut byproducts last year, representing a $600 million increase compared to the $1.9 billion exported in 2020.
In a recent press release, the Ministry of Agriculture said that virgin coconut oil exports stood at $685 million while export earnings for dried coconuts totaled $1.8 billion.
The release said the government would continue its efforts to make quality planting materials available to farmers in the coconut industry.
