Gayle Gets Ready For Pakistan T20

Christopher Henry “Chris” Gayle, the 37-year-old Jamaica and Windies opening batsman is set to head for Pakistan Super League Twenty20, soon after his knee surgery recovery.

Gayle was forced out of the regional Super50 tournament because of his knee injury which rendered him unavailable for team Jamaica Scorpions.

RJR Sports, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that Gayle underwent stem cell treatment in Asia for a recurrent knee injury.

It is also reported that the man who carries a very big bat — Gayle, since surgery has been in Australia doing promotional duties for cricketing manufacturers and personal sponsor Spartan.

Gayle had earlier indicated his interest to play for the Jamaica Scorpions in the ongoing regional Super50 tournament but was not selected for the Jamaican franchise after outlining the nature of his injury to the selectors.

Additionally, Gayle has expressed his interest time and again in returning to play Test cricket for the Windies. He also recently switched allegiance from Jamaica Tallawahs and is now set to join St Kitts & Nevis Patriots for the 2017 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
