First-Ever Pill For Postpartum Depression Is Up For FDA Approval This Week

A new treatment for postpartum depression, which affects about one in nine new mothers in the U.S., could be approved by the Food and Drug Administration this week.

The pill, called zuranolone, has shown to improve depression symptoms among new mothers as early as three days after they started it.
