Looking for a date? Well, it has just gotten easier with the use of Facebook Dating platform.

According to the company, it is providing a platform that will make it easier for people to find love and meaningful relationships through things they have in common.

The company also said it will be making it possible for people “to integrate their Instagram posts directly into their Facebook Dating profile and giving people the ability to add Instagram followers to their Secret Crush lists, in addition to Facebook friends.”

It also touted the authenticity, credibility, and genuine experience users will be afforded with the use of the platform.

“Finding a romantic partner is deeply personal, which is why we built Dating to be safe, inclusive and opt-in. Safety, security, and privacy are at the forefront of this product,” noted Nathan Sharp, Product Manager, Facebook Dating.

According to Sharp, the company has worked with experts to build safety features that include “the ability to report and block anyone; prohibiting people from sending photos, links, payments or videos in messages; and by providing easy access to safety tips.”

These enhanced features, among others he argued, would not only give users control but also peace of mind and confidence in the use of the platform.  

He said users 18 years or older would have the option of choosing to opt into Facebook Dating and create a Dating profile (separate from their main profile) once they have downloaded the most recent version of Facebook.
