England beat Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls To Take Series 2-1
England wrapped up their three-match netball series 2-1 with a 63-59 win in the final match against Jamaica Sunshine Girls.
With the series set at 1-1, England came out with all guns blazing to stop the rampaging Sunshine girls.
Cheering fans came out in large numbers to see the world-ranked number three England team compete against the fourth-placed Jamaica Sunshine girls.
England’s captain Natalie Metcalf told reporters that she was “really proud” to get a “massive” win against the Jamaicans.
“This is massive – Jamaica are an incredible team, playing against them is so hard every time so for us to have this opportunity to play them and test ourselves for the last time before the World Cup, it’s been crucial for us,” she added.
