The Windies were marked for dead when Quinton de Kock’s sensational century propelled South Africa to a remarkable six-wicket victory over West Indies in a thrilling T20I encounter at the SuperSport Park, Centurion.
Johnson Charles’ masterful knock of 118 from 46 balls and power hit 51 from Kyles Mayers made 258-5 seem a safe total for the Windies.
However, the South African had different ideas as they hammered the Windies’ bowling attack to reach 259-4 in 18.5 overs.
It was a sensational victory as it was the highest successful run chase in T20Is.
The series is now level, and the next match on Tuesday should be very exciting.
