McDonald’s, the American fast food giant company and world’s largest restaurant chain by revenue, is one of the latest companies to be hit by a data breach that has exposed customers’ details.
According to reports, the fast food chain experienced a cyberattack in which the attackers gained access to a small number of files on customers in South Korea and Taiwan.
The breach included e-mail, delivery addresses, and phone numbers; however, no payment details were accessed.
The details of the breach, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, were discovered during an external investigation after unauthorized activity was detected on the company’s network.
