COVID-19 Cases Continue Unabated In The U.S.

The United States today recorded 76,570 new coronavirus cases in the previous 24 hours, according to Johns Hopkins University report.

The nation’s total number of people affected by the plague is now over 4 million.

The U.S. is the world’s most infected country and has the highest death rate.

The country numbered 4,032,430 infections and 144,167 deaths.

The U.S. has seen the disease surge, particularly in southern and western states, as Texas, California, Alabama, Idaho, and Florida all announced record one-day death tolls. 

Meanwhile, globally more than 633,000 people have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, while more than 15.5 million infections have been confirmed in at least 188 countries and territories.

Nearly nine million people have recovered to date.

Mexico – 370,712 cases, 41,908 deaths

Chile – 338,759 cases, 8,838 deaths

United Kingdom – 298,731 cases, 45,640 deaths

Iran – 284,034 cases, 15,074 deaths
