Covid-19 Cases Climb To 10,810 And 258 Deaths In Jamaica

Jamaica confirmed 47 new Covid-19 infections and one additional death from the virus on Monday.

The number of people who have died from the disease now stands at 258 while the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic has reached 10,810.

The latest person to die from the disease is a 36-year-old woman from Westmoreland.

Among the parishes, Westmoreland, with 13, accounted for the largest number of new infections on Monday, followed by St. Ann with 10.

St. Catherine had eight new infections, Hanover, four, the Corporate Area and St. Thomas, three, while St. Elizabeth and St. James had two each.

Manchester and Portland each had one new infection.
