Beaches Turks And Caicos Takes Sandals Ultimate Award

Maxine Salmon from Beaches Turks and Caicos, Kid’s Camp was named the ultimate team member of the year at the Sandals Ultimate Award in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, held recently.

A total of 27 nominees from across the Sandals/ATL Group were selected to represent the different companies within the group.

Salmon played an integral role at the Kid’s Camp by ensuring that all children under her care at Camp Sesame had a rich and rewarding experience.

Salmon, chosen as the ultimate team member, represents the company’s ideal in work ethics, a behavior the group encourages.

The winner was judged based on ambassadorial qualities, attendance, community and environmental stewardship, previous recognitions and awards, team spirit, and training.

As winner, Salmon walked away with several prizes including US$2,500, an overseas trip with transportation via private jet, the ultimate team member of the year trophy, and a framed citation.

In his message, Sandals/ATL Group CEO Adam Stewart said the Sandals Ultimate Award ceremony celebrates the best of the best in the group.

“Tonight is a tribute to the wonderful team members that ensure that the Sandals/ATL Group is the success that it is,” Stewart said. “The amazing things we achieved in 2014 were not achieved by luck or coincidence; they were achieved through the determination, dedication, skills, and talents of an incomparable team of stars.”

And for the 13,500 Sandals/ATL employees who were not able to sit among the nominees at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort during the ceremony, they were kept in the loop as the event was streamed live.
