10 Benjamin Franklin’s Famous Quotes

Benjamin Franklin, the American polymath, was active as a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, and political philosopher.

He was among the leading intellectuals of his time; Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, a drafter and signer of the United States Declaration of Independence, and the first United States Postmaster General.

He is credited with numerous different quotes, and below, I’ve listed 10:

  1. “Love your Enemies, for they tell you your Faults.”
  2. “He that falls in love with himself will have no rivals.”
  3. “There never was a good war or a bad peace.”
  4. “He that lies down with Dogs, shall rise up with fleas.”
  5. “Better slip with foot than tongue.”
  6. “Look before, or you’ll find yourself behind.”
  7. “Don’t throw stones at your neighbors, if your own windows are glass.”
  8. “He that would live in peace & at ease, Must not speak all he knows or judge all he sees.”
  9. “Well done is better than well said.”

10.“A right Heart exceeds all.”
